Egnyte is a powerful tool to collaborate within the agency, but we can also use it to share files/folders with folks outside of Commonwealth. To do so, click the Share button on the right side when viewing the file/folder.
Choose Manage Folder Permissions from the drop down menu.
In the "Add new user or invite new people" section at the bottom, type the email address of the user you'd like to send to. If they aren't a Commonwealth person, you should get the option to "Create new account" for this email address. Click on that option.
In the following window, you'll get options to edit the email address, create a unique user name for them, and include a message. You'll also have the ability to modify the permissions that the new user will have on the file/folder you are sharing (it chooses Editor by default).
Click Add, and you're all set! The new user will get an invitation email from Egnyte.
Once they click Accept Invitation, this will direct them to the Egnyte site, where they will be welcomed with a link to set up their account.
They will be required to enter their first and last name, and then create a password.
Once they've complete these steps and click Next, they'll be able to access the file/folder you shared with them!
