Connecting to Global Protect
Open the Global Protect application.
Mac: Click the globe icon in the menu bar at the top of your screen (if you don't see it, first open the app in your Applications folder to get the icon in your menu bar to appear).
PC: It will be in the Programs folder in a folder called Palo Alto.
***If you don't have the software installed, you can download an installer at the link below. Please check to see if it's installed BEFORE attempting to install on your own; reinstalling it after it's already installed could cause problems. For Windows, choose the 64 Bit installer. Type the portal address, detvpn.interpublic.com (don't copy/paste, we've seen lots of issues when people try to copy/paste the portal into the portal address field) and click Connect. If you entered your email address or some other "portal" in an attempt to connect before knowing the correct portal, follow the instructions here to remove that portal: How to remove a bad portal from GlobalProtect
At the sign in screen, enter your full email address.
At the OnePass screen, enter your full email address and password, then click Sign On.
Immediately after clicking Sign On, you will need to complete the two factor authentication (MFA). This would be the same as when you log into any Microsoft product or PulseSecure VPN.
When it has authenticated, you will see it switch to Connected and a shield appears on the globe icon. As with other VPN services, make sure to Disconnect when you are done using VPN.
Once you've completed these steps, the app should remember your login info, so you'll just need to click on the GlobalProtect icon and choose Connect.
