If you get prompted to run a troubleshooter, do that. You'll probably be prompted to enter admin credentials, use these:

User name: .\administrator (including the .\ part)

Password: <enter LAPS password>

If the troubleshooter doesn't work, or if you aren't prompted with one, you can manually reenable the wifi adapter using these instructions (with the admin credentials above):

  • Click Start > Control Panel > System and Security > Device Manager.
  • Click the Plus Sign (+) next to Network Adapters.
  • Right-click the wireless adapters and, if disabled, click Enable.
