If you get prompted to run a troubleshooter, run that first. You'll probably be prompted to enter admin credentials; use these:
User name: .\administrator (including the .\ part)
Password: <IT will provide password>
If you are not prompted with a troubleshooter, or the troubleshooter doesn't work, proceed with instructions below.
Go to the start menu and scroll down to Windows Administrative Tools, click on that, and then Right-click on Computer Management, and navigate to More/Run As Administrator
Enter the admin credentials above to proceed.
When the Computer Management window appears, navigate to Device Manager, then double click on Network Adapters, then right-click on the WiFi adapter (probably called something like Intel Wireless AC) and choose Enable Device.
Once this is done, quit out of Device Manager and restart your computer.
